We have launched our 2021 Spring Summer seminar series. Every other week we’ll hear from a different person – we’ve tried to get all our talks to cover a wide range of topics from public health to modelling air flows. Check out the schedule to see the full list of talks for this season.

We are pleased to announce The Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP) is now an official partner of the Breathing City Network. The ASBP is a not-for-profit, mission driven organisation working to enable a healthy and low carbonbuilt environment. They organise regular events, conduct original research and run working groups ontopics including reducing plastics in construction and natural insulation. One of the ASBP’s main areas of work is on indoor air quality within buildings, predominantly at the product-level, exploring issues such as source control, off-gassing, formaldehyde, VOCs and material toxicity, covered by their annual Healthy Buildings conference. The ASBP has in-house expertise on source control and air quality issues, and has authored a number of technical briefing papers on topics such as Formaldehyde and its effects on human health, the Health & wellbeing benefits of natural fibre insulation, and Airtightness, vapour control and breathability. Another one of our partner air quality networks, ‘BioAirNet‘, is organising their first thematic workshop on ‘BioPM sources and dynamics across the indoor-outdoor continuum’ on 22 February 2021, 10:00-12:00 (GMT). As the inaugural event for this theme of BioAirNet, the workshop will introduce the proposed thematic scope and outputs and will provide attendees with the opportunity to participate in shaping its direction of travel. During the interactive online session, you will hear short presentations from the BioAirNet Theme leads and from an invited expert speaker. On Monday 18th January 2021, the Future Urban Ventilation Network hosted a launch event online.
